PNG to JPG

Create a JPG copy of a PNG and choose how transparent areas should look.

Your images are processed locally in your browser. They are never uploaded to a server.

Choose what replaces transparent pixels

JPG does not support transparency. These real outputs show how the same transparent PNG looks after the background choice is applied.

The visible subject stays the same. Only transparent pixels are flattened against the background you choose before the JPG is saved.

Convert to JPG only when it fits the destination

JPG is broadly accepted, but it is not a replacement for PNG when transparency or sharp graphic edges matter.

Convert to JPG when

  • An upload form or app accepts JPG but not PNG.
  • The image is a photograph or opaque image where transparency is not needed.
  • You want to choose a solid background before sharing the image.

Keep the PNG when

  • The image needs transparent pixels after export.
  • It contains a logo, icon, or crisp graphic edges that need PNG.
  • You do not want a background color added behind the image.

Pick a background deliberately

The background becomes part of the saved JPG, so choose it for the page or service where the image will be used.

White background

A neutral choice for forms, documents, and ordinary product images.

Dark background

Useful when the destination uses a dark visual surface.

Blue background

Use a color only when it matches the surrounding layout or brand.
