1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the KitXL website, our online tools, and communications sent to [email protected]. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that we do not control.

Each tool page explains whether that tool processes files locally in your browser or sends files to a server for processing. We provide this information before you select or submit a file. The notice on a tool page provides the most specific information about how that tool handles files.

2. Information We Handle

The information we handle depends on how you use KitXL.

Files you process. For tools identified as operating locally, the files you select are processed on your device and are not sent to KitXL servers.

For tools that clearly state that server processing is required, files are used only to perform the task you request. They are automatically deleted from active processing systems when processing finishes or fails and are not placed in long-term backups.

We do not use files or file contents for advertising, website analytics, human review, or machine-learning model training. Our technical logs do not record file contents.

Technical information. When you visit KitXL, we and our infrastructure providers may automatically handle limited technical information, such as:

  • your IP address;
  • the date and time of a request;
  • the page requested and referring page;
  • browser, device, and operating-system information;
  • approximate country or region; and
  • network, security, performance, and error information.

We use this information to deliver the website, prevent abuse and attacks, diagnose problems, maintain security, and understand the overall operation of the service. Technical logs do not contain the contents of files you process.

Website measurement. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and performance, such as page views, referral sources, approximate regions, device types, and page-load performance. This service operates without cookies and is designed not to collect or use visitors’ personal data. Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation

Information you send us. If you contact us at [email protected], we handle your email address, message, attachments, and related correspondence as needed to respond to your request.

Please do not send us passwords, identity documents, complete financial information, sensitive personal information, or original files that are not necessary for us to address your request.

3. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the website and file-processing features you request;
  • deliver content and remember your language selection;
  • protect KitXL, its users, and its infrastructure against fraud, attacks, and abuse;
  • monitor performance, diagnose errors, and improve the reliability of our tools;
  • understand aggregate website traffic and performance;
  • respond to questions, technical reports, privacy requests, and copyright complaints;
  • comply with applicable legal obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

KitXL does not currently display targeted advertising based on personal information. We do not sell personal information or share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

KitXL uses a functional cookie named kitxl_locale to remember your language selection. It remains valid for up to 12 months unless you delete it earlier.

Depending on security and traffic conditions, Cloudflare may set cookies that are strictly necessary for network security, traffic management, or service availability. KitXL does not currently use advertising cookies or cookies for cross-site behavioral tracking.

You can use your browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies and local storage. If you block the language cookie, KitXL may not remember your language selection, but the core tools will remain available.

Analytics cookies

Measure aggregate visits and tool usage with Google Analytics.

Depending on the visitor’s country, we may request consent before using analytics cookies or enable them by default. You can change or withdraw this setting at any time in Cookie settings.

You can change this choice at any time. Core tools work either way.

6. Service Providers and Disclosures

We disclose limited information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • Cloudflare, which provides website infrastructure, content delivery, security, performance, and website measurement services;
  • email service providers, which transmit and store messages you choose to send us; and
  • professional advisers, competent authorities, or other necessary recipients, where disclosure is required to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or resolve a dispute.

Service providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service and handle it under their own contractual and legal obligations. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

7. International Processing

KitXL is available globally. We and our service providers may process technical information, aggregate measurement information, or communications in the United States and in other countries or regions outside the place where you live. Data-protection laws may differ between these locations.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate contractual, organizational, or other safeguards for international transfers.

8. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is handled:

  • files processed locally in your browser are not received or retained by KitXL;
  • files processed on a server are automatically deleted when the requested task finishes or fails and are not placed in long-term backups;
  • security, access, performance, and error information is retained only as long as needed to protect the service, investigate problems, and meet legal obligations;
  • aggregate statistics may be retained in a form that no longer identifies or relates to a particular visitor;
  • support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to respond, meet legal obligations, maintain security, or resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymized; and
  • the kitxl_locale cookie remains valid for up to 12 months unless you delete it earlier.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the service and the risks of the information handled. These measures include limiting access, minimizing collection, reducing file-retention time, and using security-focused infrastructure.

No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. If you believe information associated with KitXL may have been accessed, disclosed, or otherwise affected without authorization, contact us at [email protected].

10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:

  • confirm whether we handle personal information about you;
  • request access to, correction of, or deletion of that information;
  • request restriction of, or object to, certain processing;
  • obtain a portable copy of applicable information;
  • complain to a competent data-protection authority; and
  • exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

To submit a request, email [email protected]. To protect information, we may need to verify your identity and will request only the information reasonably necessary for verification. Some rights are subject to exceptions or limitations under applicable law.

11. Children’s Privacy

KitXL is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for consent to digital services, a parent or guardian should determine and supervise use in accordance with local law.

If we learn that we collected a child’s personal information in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us at [email protected].

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our tools, infrastructure, providers, or legal obligations change. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page whenever we make a change.

If a change materially affects your rights or how we handle personal information, we will provide a more prominent notice before the change takes effect and request consent where required by applicable law.
