Use a target size for a known upload limit

Enter a target only when the website, form, or email service tells you the maximum file size it accepts.

What happens when you set a target

  1. Enter the limit in KB, such as 200 KB or 500 KB.
  2. The tool lowers JPG quality to find the best result below that size.
  3. If the image needs too much quality loss, it returns the smallest usable file and tells you the target was not reached.

When JPG compression is a good fit
