These real files show transparent WebP artwork converted back to PNG in the browser. The visible image and transparent areas remain, while the file size can increase.

PNG uses lossless encoding for the pixels it receives, but it cannot recover detail already removed when the source WebP was created.
Transparent WebP pixels remain transparent in the PNG output.
PNG output is often substantially larger than a compact WebP source.
Changing the container format cannot recreate detail missing from the WebP.
